Yolanda D. Edwards is co-founder of the law firm of Edwards & Hodges LLP. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Shorter University and her Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Indiana University – Maurer School of Law (Bloomington) where she served as a staff editor of the Federal Communications Law Journal. Yolanda is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and is admitted to practice immigration law in all 50 states. Ms. Edwards is a proud member of the American Association of Immigration Attorneys (AILA) and is a frequent speaker and presenter on current and emerging immigration issues.
Yolanda focuses her practice on personal injury and family law. She works to help clients get their lives back on track after a car accident and she helps clients navigate life changes that impact their families.
Prior to teaming with David to form Edwards & Hodges LLP, Yolanda was an associate for one of the largest law firms in Indiana. She has significant experience navigating the administrative bureaucracies of federal and state agencies to obtain successful outcomes for her clients. She brings this particular expertise to Edwards & Hodges LLP where the goal is to provide professional services to meet clients’ goals and objectives, particularly helping clients get the healthcare and compensation they deserve after a car accident and helping families transition through life changes involving immigration, divorce, child custody and premarital legal counseling.
Throughout her career, Yolanda has been active in her community. She has served on the boards of the Indianapolis Bar Foundation, Marion County Bar Association, the American Association of Blacks in Energy (Indiana Chapter), and she was Board President and Pro Bono Counsel for Indiana Youth Services Association. Yolanda has been recognized in Who’s Who in Black Indianapolis and has received numerous awards for her service in the community, including the YWCA’s Salute to Women of Achievement Award.
In her spare time, Yolanda most enjoys spending time with her partner and their children.
