McElwee Law Firm is a practice with long-standing roots in northwest North Carolina.  Attorney William H. McElwee, IV (“Will”) is the third generation of his family to practice law in the area.  The original McElwee Law Office is located in North Wilkesboro, NC, where it was  started by William H. McElwee, Jr. over eighty years ago.  William H. McElwee, Jr. was corporate counsel for Lowe’s Companies, Holly Farms, and many other businesses originating from Wilkes County.

Today, Will McElwee continues his family’s tradition of providing legal help to those in need.  As a general practitioner, Will represents clients in a variety of matters.  He is also a certified Superior Court and Family Financial Mediator, and trained in collaborative law.

We offer other legal services such as help with personal injuries, wills and estate planning, traffic tickets, and a variety of other matters.

We have offices in Winston-Salem and North Wilkesboro, and can see clients in either location by appointment.
