Richard Cranwell was born in Ceredo-Kenova, West Virginia, on July 26, 1942.  He received his B.S. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in 1965, and his J.D. from the University of Richmond in 1968.  Mr. Cranwell is admitted to practice law in all state courts in Virginia, the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, the United States Courts of Appeal for the District of Columbia, the 4th Circuit and the 6th Circuit.
