Matthew Russell, founding partner of Russell & Hill, PLLC, grew up in a small rural town in Southeast Minnesota. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed playing sports of any kind. After high school Matt attended Clemson University in South Carolina for his undergraduate degree and went on to earn his J.D. Degree at Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul MN in 2000. After graduation, Matt and his wife Carolyn moved to the Maple Leaf area in North Seattle, and Matt opened an office in Bellevue. In 2005 Matt partnered with Jim Hill and they opened an office in Everett, WA. Matt spends his days working in the Everett and Spokane offices and communities. Matt and Carolyn live in rural Snohomish County with their four children. Matt enjoys coaching youth basketball, mock trial and is active on the School Board and Board of MercyWatch, an outreach program for the homeless in Snohomish County. Matt loves his work and cherishes his family and friends, and continues to strive to be a better attorney, father, and husband.
