A graduate of Mentor High School, Mark A. Ziccarelli graduated magna cum laude from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1976, where he was admitted into Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from Ohio State University in 1979.

Following law school, Mark entered private practice, and since then he has specialized in the areas of personal injury law; domestic relations law including divorces and custody; worker’s compensation claims, business litigation; and misdemeanor criminal cases. He has tried hundreds of cases in local, state, and federal courts. Mr. Ziccarelli is licensed to practice law in all State and Federal Courts in Ohio, including the United States Federal District Court and Sixth District Court of Appeals. Unlike many attorneys, Mark is not afraid to go to trial on behalf of his clients. He enjoys the opportunity to fight for the best outcome for his clients.

In addition to his private law practice, Mr. Ziccarelli served as a magistrate in the Willoughby Municipal Court from 2001 until 2018, and is the legal counsel for Lake Metroparks (since 2009), and has served as secretary, treasurer, vice president and president of the Lake County Bar Association. Mr. Ziccarelli has served on the Ohio Supreme Court Board for the certification of attorneys as specialists, and was a trustee for several years for the Ohio Association of Justice. Mark Ziccarelli has also served as an expert witness in multiple cases.

Mark Ziccarelli is married to his wife Shawn and is the proud father of two sons. He now practices law with his youngest son, Matthew. His oldest son Michael has a Masters in Finance from Ohio State University and works in consulting. Mark enjoys golfing when the weather allows it, as well as traveling.
