Scott Wilder is a native of Harrogate, TN and Pineville, Kentucky and childhood friends of partner, John Gambrel. After attending Bell County High School, both Scott and John attended Western Kentucky University. Scott received his bachelor of arts degree in Psychology and moved to Lexington in 1996 to attend University of Kentucky College of Law, where he graduated in 1999. He and John opened Gambrel & Wilder Law Offices, PLLC in the fall of 2000 in Richmond, Kentucky. Since that time, Scott married Melissa Wilder of Georgetown, KY in 2007. He still resides in Lexington, Kentucky and travels to his three (3) offices. Scott and Melissa welcomed their son, Cannon, in March, 2018.

Scott focuses his energies mainly upon the firm’s personal injury practice, including car and truck wrecks, malpractice, general personal injury, workers’ compensation and Social Security cases. He, along with his staff, manage the majority of the firm’s personal injury and workers’ compensation litigation. He has successfully litigated cases at the Kentucky Court of Appeals and Supreme Court levels and has tried cases in both Kentucky state and federal courts. Despite having tried criminal cases, Scott focuses his practice on helping injured clients recover from at-fault parties who have negligently caused pain, suffering and/or financial loss. Scott enjoys face to face interaction with clients and potential clients and regularly makes a practice of traveling to his clients’ homes to meet with them personally.
