A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Mr. Perry graduated from Minor High School before attending the University of Alabama, where he graduated in 2000 with a B.A. in English/journalism. Prior to becoming a lawyer, he worked as a reporter for newspapers in several South cities, including Mobile, Al., and Savannah, Ga. His reporting earned numerous journalism excellence awards, including the Georgia Press Association’s “Freedom or Information Award”, a top honor for investigative reporting.
Mr. Perry attended Faulkner University. Thomas Goode Jones School of Law, in Montgomery, Ala., received his J.D. in 2012. While in law school, he served as a law clerk to the Hon. Charles Price, Presiding Judge, Fifteenth Judicial Circuit. He began his legal career in Montgomery, practicing personal Injury and criminal defense, before launching his own practice in Birmingham in 2015
