Mr. Morrison has been representing injured clients since 1989, concentrating his practice in the areas of Worker’s Compensation, Personal Injury, and Social Security Disability. He has also successfully tried numerous jury trials involving catastrophic injuries.

Morrison is admitted to practice before the North Carolina Supreme Court, all other N.C. state courts, the U.S. Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Middle Districts of North Carolina. He is a member of N.C. State Bar, N.C. Bar Association and other professional organizations. He has twice been featured in front-page news articles in N.C. Lawyer’s Weekly and was elected to serve on the Litigation Section Council of the N.C. Bar Association in 1999. In 2006 he was elected by his peers to serve as chair of the Litigation Section, with a membership of over 2000 lawyers the largest single practice section of the N.C. Bar Association.

Long active in civic and community affairs, Morrison has served on numerous local boards and commissions. He was a 24-year member of the N.C. Historical Commission, having first been appointed by the Governor of North Carolina in 1993. He received the Distinguished Wilsonian Award in 1994 and was chosen by the N.C. Jaycees as an Outstanding Young North Carolinian in 1995. While a student at UNC-Chapel Hill, Morrison was honored by the Chancellor in 1984 for his “outstanding contributions . . . to the preservation and enhancement of the feelings of loyalty and goodwill between the University and its students, alumni and friends.” Honored as a member of the Holderness Moot Court, Morrison graduated from the UNC School of Law in 1988. After 15 years of practice with two other firms, he formed the Morrison Law Firm in 2004.
