Ms. Steyart received her B.A. in Philosophy from Clemson University and her J.D. from Gonzaga University School of Law, where she graduated with honors. Prior to joining Shlesinger & deVilleneuve Attorneys, P.C., Shayla clerked for a well-respected Personal Injury law firm in Spokane, Washington. During law school, she volunteered at a legal assistance program emphasizing in Elder Law. She also organized a Juvenile Record Sealing Clinic that aimed to help adults seal their juvenile criminal records.

Ms. Steyart is admitted to practice law in the states of Oregon and Washington. She is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the District of Oregon. She is a member of the Oregon State Bar Association, Washington State Bar Association, Jackson County Bar Association, Oregon Trial Lawyers Association, and Oregon Women Lawyers. When she is not working, Shayla enjoys spending her free time exploring the Pacific Northwest with her husband Robert and their family. She very much enjoys being outdoors backpacking, camping, and hiking.
