Amanda R. Laurens was raised in Hamilton, Ohio. Ms. Laurens received her Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from Miami University in 1999. Subsequently, she received her Juris Doctor degree from The University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2002 and was admitted to the practice of law in 2002.
Ms. Laurens began working for Gattermeyer & McCracken, LLC as a law clerk in September of 2002, and began practicing law there upon her licensing in November of 2002. She has been with the firm throughout her career, remaining with the office with the formation of McCracken & Martin, LLC. Ms. Laurens is admitted to practice before all courts of the State of Ohio, as well as the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

Ms. Laurens has represented individuals in Social Security Disability claims throughout the administrative process and in Federal District Court. She focuses not only on disabled adults, but is also

well versed in childhood disability claims. In addition, Ms. Laurens represents injured workers in workers’ compensation matters before the Industrial Commission and in Common Pleas Court. Ms. Laurens also practices in the area of wills and estates and personal injury claims. Ms. Laurens also assists disabled individuals whose claims have been rejected by the Public Employee Retirement System (PERS) and School Employee Retirement System (SERS).

Ms. Laurens is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Butler County Bar Association. Her husband is an attorney practicing as a public defender in Hamilton County in addition to representing private clients on bankruptcy matters. They are the proud parents of a beautiful daughter.
