Barry Harris Hinden is the founding attorney and senior partner at Hinden & Breslavsky. He has been practicing law since 1974, and is a seasoned Trial attorney. Barry focuses the majority of his practice on workers’ compensation cases but also assists clients in various personal injury and mesothelioma/asbestos exposure matters. In every case, Barry is passionate about helping to restore the dignity and self-esteem of those whose lives have been dramatically altered due to injuries and/or illnesses. At the firm, he represents clients in Los Angeles and throughout the state of California.

Barry attended Los Angeles City and Valley Colleges in 1966, before going on to obtain his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from California State University, Northridge, in 1970. He then earned his Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles, in 1974, and was admitted to the State Bar of California that same year.

Prior to entering the legal profession, Barry served in the United States Army as a Field Medic from 1962, through 1965. Additionally, from 2002, through 2008, he served as an adjunct professor at his alma mater, Southwestern University School of Law. Currently, he serves on the Board of Directors and Education Committee of CAAA (California Applicants’ Attorneys Association).

Barry is renowned among his peers for his commitment to client-focused representation and results. He was selected for inclusion in California Super Lawyers magazine every year from 2009, through 2020, and was included in the list of Who’s Who in American Law from 1996, through the present. He is a member of both, the California State Bar Association, and the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and is the past president of CAAA, a position he held from 2010, through 2011.

Barry also takes part in many pro-bono activities and strives to give back to his local community in a number of ways. He served as an elected representative of the Los Angeles City Neighborhood Council, Mid-City, in 1997. He was Vice President of the National Kidney Foundation, and served as the president of the Temple Emanuel Brotherhood, in Beverly Hills.

In addition to his legal career, Barry was also an avid runner, completing marathons in both, Los Angeles and New York. He has also regularly volunteered his time with youth sports organizations, including AYSO, and Little League, as well as being a Scoutmaster and Cub Master in the Boy Scouts of America.
