Ben represents individuals and their families who have suffered injury through the negligence of others. Since joining the firm in 2018, Ben has gained considerable experience in all facets of litigation, from pre-trial motions through appellate practice. He previously served as clerk to the Honorable Louise M. DeMatteo of the Arlington County Circuit Court. In 2020, Ben was honored by The National Trial Lawyers as a Top 40 under 40 in Civil Plaintiff Trial Lawyers in Virginia.
Ben is a magna cum laude graduate of the Antonin Scalia Law School of George Mason University, where he earned numerous awards and achievements, including the school’s Trial Advocacy Award. Ben also gained valuable experience for the firm’s focus on medical malpractice through work as an operating room anesthesia technician, where he became familiar with hospital procedure and patient care by working closely with a team of eleven anesthesiologists.
An active member of the legal community, Ben successfully mentors both young and aspiring lawyers through several programs. In 2019, his work with George Mason High School’s mock trial team led to its first ever state championship. Ben’s leadership has been recognized by his peers, who elected him to serve as president of the Young Lawyers Section of the Fairfax Bar Association.
A loyal Tar Heels fan, Ben earned his undergraduate degree in international studies from the University of a North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he also studied Mandarin Chinese. Ben put his degree to work in a small village in Yunnan, China, where he taught English to middle school students.
