Firm Summary

Growing up in East Tennessee life didn’t exactly start off in the fast lane. I began my life in the small town of Cleveland TN. I began my education at Calhoun Elementary School where I had some of the best teachers on the face of this planet and to this day I attribute much of what I know and understand to the fundamentals laid by those great teachers. Next I attended high school at McMinn County High school and later graduated from Walker Valley High School. I knew I wanted to become a lawyer before I ever stepped foot on a college campus, which proved to be to my advantage once I entered the world of University life and saw friends and colleagues changes majors nearly every semester. I had a plan and with focus and hard work I knew I could achieve it. I started my college education at Cleveland State CC in my hometown. While at CS I was elected as student Body president and served as student council president. I was also president of the student leaders association and maintained on campus office hours to hear student concerns and inquiries. I received a full scholarship for my last year at Cleveland State for my on campus achievements which was greatly appreciated because my education expenses solely laid upon my back. I was also the school representative for the Tennessee Board of Regents committee meeting during the 2005-2006 spring meeting. After completing all of my requisite core work at Cleveland state I moved to Knoxville Tennessee to further my education at the University of Tennessee. While at UT I majored in Communication to help further the skills needed to become an effective lawyer. I also have a passion for music so I studied the Appalachian music heritage and history of the Appalachian people as a supplement to my primary collegiate goals. Upon graduating from UT I attended Law school at Lincoln Memorial University Duncan School of Law where I obtained my Juris Doctorate degree. While at LMU I served as student body senator and participated in the advancement of lower income student programs. I traveled around to local elementary and high schools to speak to lower income students about the possibilities of success despite economic depravity. I had the chance to impact the lives of young people and hopefully made a difference in a few lives for the better. While at LMU I also held a highly coveted internship at the law office of James A.H.Bell a prominent Tennessee attorney who has argued before the Supreme Court of Tennessee as well as the Tennessee Criminal court of appeals. While working in Mr. Bell’s office I worked on several appellate level cases and murder trials. The experience I gained from this opportunity still helps me in my work as an attorney today. Upon graduating from LMU I took the bar exam and became a licensed member of the Tennessee Bar and now practice in Memphis TN. My life has taken me all across the great State of Tennessee and I feel like it is the most beautiful state on the planet and I am lucky to call myself a Tennessean and practice law for justice in my home state. The future looks bright and I can not wait to see what all it will hold for me and my career.
