Firm Summary

I attended The University of Texas at Austin and received my law degree from South Texas College of Law in 1998. I started practicing law out of my house immediately after graduating and taught trial advocacy at South Texas College of Law. I was named South Texas College of Law Dean’s Most Outstanding Advocate for 1998, after twice winning the ATLA Regional Mock Trial Tournament and earning the Best Advocate award at NITA’s national Tournament of Champions. I have been AV rated since 2005 and named a SuperLawyer every year since 2018. I serve in the United States Army Reserve JAG Corps at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, where I am the Command Judge Advocate for the 316th Expeditionary Sustainment Command. In that capacity, I serve as the primary legal advisor to a Brigadier General and I am responsible for the provision of legal services to nearly 9,000 Soldiers.

The desire and ability to truly understand your priorities sets me apart from other lawyers. I will not only help you understand the process every step of the way, but I will also talk through solutions so you make the best decision for you and your family based on your priorities, not mine. If we can’t get your matter resolved short of trial though, rest easy knowing I am effective in the courtroom with over 70 jury verdicts.
