After one year at Linfield, Brian left the country to serve a two-year church mission in Argentina. While in Argentina, Brian learned to speak fluent Spanish. During his mission, Brian decided he wanted to become an attorney. One day, while walking down a long dirt road, Brian looked and saw several impoverished people living In Argentina . He thought about how the people had no “‘voice” and no advocate. After returning from Argentina, Brian started his new “mission” to become an attorney and a “voice” for people who cannot advocate for themselves. Brian graduated from the University of Oregon majoring in international studies with an emphasis In Latin American history. Brian then attended Willamette University College of Law. While attending law school, Brian clerked with the firm. Brian worked closely with his father helping injured persons.
Today, Brian Lathen continues to help injured people recover from losses and harms as the result of wrongdoing. The cases have ranged from soft-tissue injuries to extreme injury and death. In addition to motor vehicle collisions, Brian handles cases involving: wrongful death; sexual abuse; civil rights violations; product liability; medical malpractice; slip/trip and fall; dog bite; assault/battery; food poisoning; and other injuries as a result of negligence.
When out of town, or in court, Brian’s staff does a tremendous job helping clients in a professional manner.
With regard to injury cases, Brian does not charge a fee unless the case is won.
Brian is married to his wonderful wife and has four beautiful children. In his free time he enjoys playing basketball, golf and spending time with his family.
