Carlos del Amo has been an attorney servicing the South Florida community for over 31 years. He received his JD from the University of Miami. Immediately, he obtained a position with the prestigious Miami law firm of High stack Lazenby, and Palahach where he practiced for over eight years, first as an associate and two years later as a partner in the firm. In 1996, he left the firm to go on his own.

Only six months after becoming an attorney, Carlos del Amo tried his first jury trial alone and has been litigating cases ever since.  He has conducted complex product liability, medical malpractice, and wrongful death cases, as well as premise liability, vehicular accident, and other personal injury cases.  Since 1988, Carlos del Amo has also handled family law cases and has been trained in collaborative family law.  He is also a certified family law mediator. Besides, he handles real estate litigation, foreclosure, and transactions.

Carlos del Amo enjoys an excellent reputation in the legal community.  He was past president of the Coral Gables Bar Association, Director of the Dade County Bar Association, and Director of the Latin Builders Association.  He is or has been a member of the American Bar Association, the American Bar Association for Justice f/k/a/ Academy of trial lawyers of America, Cuban American Bar Association, Florida Justice Association f/k/an Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, the Miami-Dade Justice association f/k/a Dade County Trial Lawyers.

He is rated “AV” by Martindale Hubbell since 1992 for “very high legal ability and ethical standards.  He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum for receiving settlements and/or verdicts of over one million dollars. The Daily Business Review has proclaimed him one of South Florida’s Top Lawyers. Recently, he has been inducted by the National Association of Trial Lawyers as one of the top 100 lawyers in the United States.

Carlos del Amo is a man of faith.  He is very active in service to others and serves on several boards.  He is president of Caring for Miami, vice-chairman of Alfalit International, director of His Children International and founder of His Purpose Ministries.
