Firm Summary
Chad grew up in Macon, Georgia, and attended the University of Georgia for his undergraduate degree. He then returned to Macon to attend the Mercer University School of Law. Chad was admitted to the practice of law in 2013 and began his legal career specializing in personal injury and domestic relations cases. He quickly realized that he wanted to focus his practice exclusively in the area of serious personal injury cases, representing individuals who may not otherwise have a voice of their own. He joined Buzzell, Welsh & Hill in April of 2015 in order to do just that.
Chad is licensed to practice before all State and Superior Courts in Georgia, and is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of Georgia. Chad specializes in serious personal injury cases, including cases involving automobile accidents, trucking accidents, workplace injuries, wrongful death claims, insurance coverage disputes, and nursing home neglect.
In addition to being a member of the State Bar of Georgia, and Macon Bar Association, Chad is an active member of the William Augustus Bootle American Inn of Court, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association (GTLA), and the Civil Justice Political Action Committee. He was also honored to serve as President of the Middle Georgia Trial Lawyers Association for 2020 and 2021.
In 2018, Chad was selected to be a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association (GTLA) Leadership Education & Advanced Direction (LEAD) Program, which identifies and trains young, promising trial lawyers for future leadership roles in GTLA and their communities. Chad has been selected as a “Rising Star” by Georgia Super Lawyers annually since 2020 in the area of Personal Injury Litigation, which recognizes only 2.5% of lawyers in Georgia under the age of 40 based on peer recognition and professional achievement. Chad has also been selected by Best Lawyers as “One to Watch” in the area of Personal Injury Litigation since 2020.
Chad devotes a portion of his professional time to pro bono legal services with the Georgia Legal Service Program and to Middle Georgia Justice. When he’s not in the office or practicing law, Chad enjoys playing golf, cooking, reading, and UGA Football.
