DANIEL M. WHITE specializes in defending individuals and entities in civil trials involving business, construction, professional liability, product liability, real estate and intellectual property matters. Most recently, Mr. White was designated San Diego’s 2016 Legal Malpractice (Defense) Lawyer of the Year by “The Best Lawyers in America”, a publication in which he has been listed annually since 1999. A five litigation specialty designee, he was previously named 2013 Personal Injury (Defense) Lawyer of the Year, 2011 Legal Malpractice Lawyer of the Year and 2016 Legal Malpractice Lawyer of the Year. Also in 2011, Mr. White was honored as the 2011 recipient of the Daniel T. Broderick III Award. For nearly 25 years, the award has been given by the San Diego Bar Association to a local attorney who best exemplifies civility, integrity and professionalism. Each recipient is nominated by co‐sponsors: the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego, The American Board of Trial Advocates, The Association of Business Trial Lawyers and The San Diego Defense Lawyers. He has also been selected as a 2016 “Super Lawyer” for the 10th consecutive year by Southern California Super Lawyers, which recognizes the top 5 percent of lawyers nationally. San Diego’s The Daily Transcript distinguished him one of the city’s top 10 lawyers in 2006 and The San Diego Defense Lawyers selected him as their “Defense Lawyer of the Year” in 2002. Mr. White has also earned the top rating, “AV Preeminent,” in the Martindale‐Hubbell lawyer directory and holds the rank of Advocate in the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates.

Mr. White has served as an arbitrator and a judge pro tem for the San Diego County Superior Court, an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association and an adjunct law professor at the University of San Diego School of Law.
