Mr. Sims graduated from Southwestern University of Law in Los Angeles in 1994, volunteered, interned, and worked for the Colorado Public Defender’s Office from 1993 to 2013. In addition to his 24 years of experience as a licensed attorney in Colorado, Mr. Sims served on the Board of the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar for seven years, taught at the University of Colorado during intersession multiple times, and gave numerous trainings to private attorneys as well as Public Defenders on topics ranging from self-defense to the current state of the law.
