Firm Summary
Eva is an attorney and a real estate broker with extended years of legal experience, including two years as a federal judicial law clerk at the U.S. District Court, Nevada for Judge Johnnie Rawlinson and one year at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals for Judge Johnnie Rawlinson. Eva was a public defender in Clark County, Nevada, and found that service particularly rewarding as she is a firm believer in equal access to representation regardless of one’s financial condition. Eva has also worked for Apple, Inc., U.S. Senator Harry Reid, nVidia, UTStarcom, and General Cable.
Eva attended the University of California at San Diego. During college, Eva spent a year studying abroad in the United Kingdom at the University of Hull in England and visited several other countries including Italy, France and Belgium. Eva earned her law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, in San Francisco. While at Hastings, Eva worked as a volunteer at the Asian Law Caucus Immigration Clinic helping indigent clients with various immigration questions.
One of Eva’s first jobs in life began before she turned 16. Along with her older sister, Eva would arrive at one of the local newspapers before 6:00 a.m. to begin work. Other jobs Eva had during high school included working at fast food restaurants and the local mall.
Eva put herself through college and law school by working various jobs including photographer, waitress, retail sales, piano teacher, restaurant hostess, baby sitter, file clerk, cashier, and library assistant. She often worked two or more jobs at the same time. Since junior high school, Eva has volunteered her time in the community. She was a junior pre-med and hospital volunteer throughout junior high and high school. Also beginning in junior high, Eva volunteered on several public servant campaigns, and she has volunteered at the UC Hastings Legal Clinics, San Francisco Food Bank, nursing homes, and environmental clean-ups.
Eva is fluent in English and Chinese Mandarin and Taiwanese. Eva is also a certified Chinese Medicine massage (tui na) and acupressure therapist, which helps her understand her personal injury clients’ injuries better.
