Jack Meyerson obtained his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1972 and served as a Senior Trial Attorney with the Department of Justice Public Integrity Section and as an Assistant United States Attorney for six years. Jack is well known for his public corruption prosecutions.

The firm recently obtained an injunction on behalf of a business client enforcing a covenant not to compete on real estate. Specifically prior to making a significant financial investment in the form of a long term commercial lease, the client obtained a covenant not to compete in its lease precluding competing firms from opening on real estate in close proximity to our client’s facility. When the client learned that a major competitor planned to open across the street, suit was brought to enjoin the competion from leasing across the street. After a two day trial, the Court ruled that the covenant prevented the competition from opening thus protecting the client’s business and investment.

The firm recently resolved major claims involving wrongful death and serious bodily injuries arising from an accident with a drunk driver. The client not only received a substantial settlement funded both by the insurance company for the driver and also by the drinking establishment, a dram shop, which served the defendant after he was visibly intoxicated. We have also favorably resolved a major medical malpractice case on behalf of a client who was seriously injured during surgery due to an anesthesia error.
