James Anderson is an experienced litigation attorney with significant experience in personal injury, insurance recovery/bad faith, and construction defect claims. James has an innate ability to connect with his clients, and understands that an injured party, in any sense, is already under immense pressure and stress. He works closely with his clients to address their needs, so together they can reach a successful outcome of the client’s legal matter.

An ardent advocate for consumers’ rights, James thrives on helping his clients obtain the insurance compensation they deserve. During law school, James worked full time for a public adjuster. This experience ignited James’ interest in insurance litigation, and he handled many bad faith claims. Shortly after law school, James worked in the area of personal injury, which further developed his passion for consumer rights and plaintiff advocacy. James’ experience in personal injury is wide, having represented plaintiffs on a variety of claims including automobile collisions, premises liability claims, slip and falls, animal attacks, and property damage claims.

James decided to pursue a law degree while attending college at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, where he was a member of the Mock Trial team. While attending Sturm School of Law at the University of Denver, James furthered his passion for trial practice, winning several outstanding advocate awards with the Student Trial Lawyers Association in his first year and winning outstanding advocate at Sturm’s premier mock trial competition, the Hoffman Cup, in his second year. James is an active member of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association and is very involved with CTLA’s Amicus Curiae Committee. James is also a member of the Colorado Bar Association and Denver Bar Association and has been a speaker and educator at industry events, speaking on a variety of topics. He brings a unique outlook to events that builds on his pertinent background and experience.

A Colorado resident since childhood, James has strong connections in Southern Colorado. In his free time, he enjoys gaming with friends and spending quality time with his wife and beloved pets. In line with his love of trial advocacy, James devotes time and energy to students competing in mock trial events. He coaches with D’Evelyn High School’s mock trial team and is an active volunteer for Sturm’s Trial Advocacy Department and judges their competitions as often as he can.
