James Radford has represented hundreds of clients in federal and state court, Department of Labor unemployment hearings, private arbitrations, county and city personnel appeals, and before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). James has helped achieve justice for clients who have suffered employment discrimination, free speech violations, disability discrimination, religious discrimination, civil rights violations, contract violation, and personal injury. James is committed to developing a personal relationship with each individual client, understanding their specific need, and working to develop a strategy to attain the needed result.

Prior to launching his private practice, James practiced for a number of years with the firm of Parks, Chesin and Walbert, P.C., one of Georgia’s most prestigious civil rights law firms. James also served as a staff attorney for the Eleventh Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, where he advised the Court on a wide array of federal cases.

James’ passion is representing individuals who have suffered due to an abuse of power. He represents clients who have experienced discrimination in the workplace on account of their race, sex, age, or mental or physical disability. He represents women who have been sexually harassed on the job or fired after becoming pregnant. He represents individuals who have been arrested or detained unlawfully. He represents “whistleblowers,” state employees who have experienced retaliation after reporting fraud, waste, or abuse in state government. He represents public employees who have lost their jobs for exercising their First Amendment rights.

James received his undergraduate degree from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, where he graduated magna cum laude. He received his law degree from the University of Georgia, where he graduated cum laude. James served on the Editorial Board for the Georgia Law Review.

James is licensed to practice in the Superior Courts of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Georgia, and the Eleventh Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals.

James lives with his wife and children in the City of Decatur, Georgia.
