Before founding Jeffrey Weiskopf, P.C., Mr. Weiskopf was a partner at Halperin, Halperin & Weiskopf, PLLC. Mr. Weiskopf started his career as a Senior Court Attorney to the Hon. Tanya R. Kennedy in the Civil and Criminal Courts of New York County. Following his public service, Mr. Weiskopf was associated with the Law Office of Fred Lichtmacher and the Law Office of Joel S. Charleston, where he handled commercial, criminal and civil rights litigation on an “of counsel” basis.
Mr. Weiskopf earned his B.A. in English/Creative Writing from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor in 2002 and his J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2006, where he focused on criminal litigation and was a member of the law school’s Criminal Defense Clinic. He has since returned to Cardozo in 2018 as an adjunct professor, teaching Lawyering & Legal Writing to first year law students and Remedies to second year law students.
Mr. Weiskopf is admitted to practice in New York State, as well as the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York and the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York. He has been admitted pro hac vice to practice before the United States District Courts for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.
