JOHN J. McCRACKEN became licensed as an attorney in the State of Ohio in November 1989. Mr. McCracken has maintained a private law office in Hamilton, Ohio since the early 1990’s. He has practiced almost exclusively in the areas of Workers’ Compensation, Social Security Disability, Personal Injury and Criminal Law.

Before becoming an attorney, Mr. McCracken received his undergraduate degree at the University of Evansville in 1986. While an undergrad, he received numerous honors and awards, most importantly graduating cum laude (with honors) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, an Associates Degree in psychology and a Certificate in security management and administration. Upon graduation, Mr. McCracken received his law degree from the University of Toledo College of Law where he graduated in 1989. He again was recognized for graduating cum laude with a Juris Doctor degree in law. John is licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio and the United States District Court.

Individually, Mr. McCracken has been very involved and achieved many awards in the practice of law. He has been a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and Butler County Bar Association for many years. He serves as a mentor for younger attorneys in Butler County in the areas of Workers’ Compensation and Social Security. He has attended many seminars in his practice areas over the years. John was certified in criminal trial advocacy by the National Board of Trial Advocacy from 1992 – 2010. He has also been recognized as an Ohio Super Lawyer, which recognizes the top 5% of the attorneys in Ohio. He also serves as a magistrate for the Hamilton Municipal Court, hearing reviews and traffic cases.

Mr. McCracken has resided in Butler County since he began practicing law. He and his wife Deanna have two children, and he enjoys spending his time away from the office with his family.
