John exclusively represents individuals and families in serious personal injury and wrongful death cases stemming from motor vehicle, bicycle and motorcycle crashes, boating crashes, unsafe property conditions, dog bites, medical negligence, nursing home negligence, construction defects and dangerous products.
In 2020, John was selected to Illinois Rising Stars by Super Lawyers, an honor given to only 2.5 percent of lawyers in Illinois.
John and Scott have successfully tried multiple cases to verdict on behalf of personal injury clients and families who are victims of another person or companies’ negligence. Additionally, John has obtained numerous successful verdicts in uninsured/underinsured motorist and binding arbitration trials and settlements for clients in excess of pretrial settlement offers from insurance companies.
John is active in several local and state lawyers’ groups. He is a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers’ Association, American Association for Justice, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Lake County Bar Association and the Lake County Bar Foundation. In 2017, John was appointed by Illinois State Bar President, Hon. Russell Hartigan to serve on The Young Lawyers Division Section Council.
John is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
John grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota and graduated from St. Thomas Academy High School. John received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Creighton University in 2006 and his Juris Doctorate from Western Michigan Thomas Cooley Law School in 2009. John received the Certificate of Merit award in Pretrial Skills while in law school and achieved academic distinction by being on the Dean’s List multiple semesters.
John and his wife Megan live in Western Springs with their three children.
