Jorge H. Reyes was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and is the son of Mexican immigrants. He grew up in South Central Los Angeles where he witnessed and experienced social and economic hardship and injustice, which inspired him to fight for justice.

In four years, he graduated with a double-major and a minor from the University of Southern California (USC) and became the first in his family to finish college. Jorge graduated from Southwestern Law School in 2003 where he received honors in trial advocacy.

Jorge was admitted to practice law in 2004. He has also been admitted to practice before the Superior Court of California and Federal District courts in the Northern, Southern, Central and Eastern districts.

He is the founder of Reyes & Associates with offices in Los Angeles and San Diego and practices in the area of general civil litigation, personal injury, employment and labor, and workers’ compensation in Northern and Southern California.

Jorge also practices in the areas of complex civil litigation, criminal defense, appellate, and landlord-tenant law. He handles matters in state and federal courts and in arbitration.

Recently, Jorge helped expand the rights of workers to file wrongful termination claims in state court arising out work-related injuries in the published case of Prue v. Brady Company, 242 Cal. App 4 1367 (2015).

Jorge has appeared as an expert legal commentator on Spanish-language television, including Univision, TV Azteca, and Telemundo.

Jorge is a member of the American Bar Association, Mexican-American Bar Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association, California Employment Lawyers Association, National Lawyers Guild, and American Civil Liberties Union of Southern California.

In additional to organizing and presenting free legal fairs for the Latino community, Jorge donates his time to the community as a member of Kiwanis International.
