Firm Summary

Joseph Giardina was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is the son of Keith Giardina and Pam Giardina. Keith has over forty years of experience as an attorney running Liberty Mutual’s insurance defense offices in Louisiana and has extensive trial experience. Growing up, Joseph was fascinated by his father’s career and lived his life with an eye toward carving out his own path in the legal world. Joseph is very familiar with the state and all of the sometimes hard to reach areas that immigration courts and detention facilities are based in. He attended Parkview Baptist High School where he was a member of the wrestling team. He was fortunate enough to finish in third place in his weight class during his senior year. Joseph has carried this competitive spirit and willingness to fight into his adult life and now into his law career. He will vigorously defend his clients’ rights and do everything he can to obtain victory in their cases. Growing up in Louisiana, Joseph, like so many others, always wanted to attend Louisiana State University, and enrolled in school there after graduating high school with honors in 2009.

While at LSU, he majored in History with a focus in Classical Studies. Joseph had always wanted to become a lawyer but has always had an appreciation and interest in the world and its history as a whole. He studied abroad in his junior year and gained appreciation and empathy for those wanting to come to the U.S. from other areas of the world that were less fortunate and not as safe. As he grew older and realized the inequality inherent in the justice system, especially for minorities, he felt drawn to the field of immigration law as well as criminal defense. Joseph truly believes everyone is entitled to a fair and unbiased representation. Joseph zealously believes that the current Trump administration and its ultra-conservative policies have destroyed the already complex and convoluted United States immigration system. Joseph believes that it is more imperative than ever – given the unpredictable and unsettling climate surrounding immigrant families without status to have an experienced, local hands-on immigration attorney who is not afraid to fight for his clients and will not accept “no” for an answer.

Joseph has always had a strong work ethic and has maintained at least one job since he was sixteen years old, sometimes holding down as many as three jobs while maintaining full-time student status. During law school, Joseph Giardina worked as a law clerk for an experienced criminal defense attorney, John Pace, for one year. During his final year of law school and while preparing for the Bar exam, Joseph worked as a law clerk for one of the largest criminal law firms in the state, Manasseh, Gill, Knipe & Belanger. After passing the Bar and obtaining his license to practice, Joseph Giardina worked as an associate for the immigration and criminal defense firm, Rozas & Rozas Law Firm. There he handled hundreds of full immigration cases from the beginning to their final individual hearings with one of the highest success rates of any attorney in the state of Louisiana. He has handled countless bond matters and numerous appeals and is well-versed in every aspect of a detained or non-detained immigration case from the beginning till the end.

Besides law, he also enjoys fishing, skiing, and anything to do with Saints football or LSU sports.
