Firm Summary
Kenneth G. Bartlett is a seasoned attorney with over 40 years of experience fighting cases for seriously injured clients. He began his legal career in 1981 after graduating from Quinnipiac Law School and serving as a law clerk in the Connecticut Supreme Court Building in Hartford.
Before starting his own firm, Attorney Bartlett spent five years working in trial law. He was a partner at Solomon & Stanton in Meriden, CT from 1982 to 1984, and then worked as a civil trial litigator for the Alan E. Silver, P.C. law firm in New Haven. In 1987, he purchased Hyatt Legal Services and managed their five locations throughout Connecticut. Hyatt Legal Services later merged with Bartlett Law Office, P.C., which is the firm as we know it today.
Throughout his career, Attorney Bartlett has successfully litigated numerous personal injury cases, including those involving sexual assault, inadequate security, and defective products such as Benedictine, DPT vaccine, Permpro®, and silicone implants. He has tried more than 100 personal injury cases to verdict, and his expertise in the field has earned him board-certified status as a civil trial specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy (NBTA) in 1984, and recertifications in 1989, 1994, and 2003.
In addition to his extensive litigation experience, Attorney Bartlett is also a prolific writer and lecturer on legal topics. He has written extensively and lectured on selected legal topics over the past 35 years, and is a past planning co-chairperson and speaker for the Connecticut Bar Association (CBA) on medical malpractice. His article on Screening Medical Malpractice Cases was published in Trial Magazine, a magazine with national readership.
As a long-standing member of NBTA, Attorney Bartlett maintains a $1 million professional liability policy to ensure the protection of his clients. He has been recognized by his legal peers as a Connecticut “Super Lawyer” for the past five consecutive years.
In January 2011, Chief Justice Chase T. Rogers appointed Mr. Bartlett both as an attorney trial referee and a fact finder/arbitrator in the Judicial District of New Haven. Mr. Bartlett was recertified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy (NBTA) in 2017 in civil trial practice, and is also dual-boarded (2017) in civil pretrial practice law. Overall, Attorney Bartlett’s extensive experience and impressive track record make him a trusted and skilled legal advocate for those in need.
