Firm Summary

Raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Lee graduated from the University of Alberta, completing his undergraduate degree in 1995 and law degree in 1999.

Before joining the team at James H. Brown and Associates, Lee practiced with a prominent litigation firm in Edmonton, specializing in defending insurance companies against injury claims. Lee gained valuable insight into how insurance companies defended claims and realized that he wanted to work for individuals rather than the corporations. Lee says “fighting for the little guy is so much more rewarding than saving a dollar for a big insurance company”.

Lee joined James H. Brown Injury Lawyers in 2003. Since that time he has been involved in some of the firm’s largest individual settlements. Lee was recently able to obtain a $4.7M settlement for a client’s brain injury which will help provide care for the duration of his client’s life. Another significant settlement Lee obtained was $3.9M for a young child injured by a drunk driver.

Throughout his career with James H Brown & Associates, Lee has personally concluded settlements in excess of $100 million and is consistently one of the top injury lawyers at James H. Brown and Associates. He regularly handles the most complicated claims, including claims with challenging liability scenarios. Lee has extensive experience in all facets of personal injury litigation. He has appeared in the Alberta Court of Appeal, Court of King’s Bench, Provincial Court and the Federal Court of Canada. Lee has also been involved in cases in British Columbia, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. Additionally, Lee is often retained by the Workers Compensation Board of Alberta to bring actions on their behalf when workers are injured in serious motor vehicle accidents.

Mr. Rusinko is married with three children. Away from work, he enjoys spending time with his family in rural Strathcona County. He is also an avid golfer and involved in the equestrian community.
