Matthew Segal is recognized as one of the top young accomplished trial attorneys in New York City. He has successfully represented and tried a variety of personal injury cases throughout the New York City area including in New York, Kings, Queens, Bronx, Nassau, Richmond and Suffolk counties, as well as in New Jersey.

Mr. Segal is a true New Yorker. He was born in Queens and later on moved to Long Island for the better part of his youth. Matthew graduated from SUNY at Buffalo in 2005. While at Buffalo, Matthew majored in Business Management with a focus in Finance.  He then graduated from Touro Law School in 2008 where he obtained a Juris Doctorate, Magna Cum Laude and served on the Touro Law Review. While in law school Mr. Segal held intern positions at the Kings County District Attorney’s office, as well as other private law firms.

Upon graduating from law school, Matthew began his career where many notable New York City personal injury trial attorneys did – working for the famous Aaron J. Broder. After learning about what it takes to become a nationally recognized trial attorney from Mr. Broder, Matthew joined several New York City law firms where he handled a variety of matters from inception through trial while forming a reputation as a lawyer who fights aggressively for his clients.
Matthew is admitted to practice law in the State of New York, Appellate Division, Second Department. In addition, he is admitted to practice in the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York in the United States District Court. He is also admitted to practice law in the State of New Jersey, where he was recognized as having one of the top 100 trial verdicts in 2017. He was also recognized as having one of the top 100 trial verdicts of 2019 in New York.

Matthew has been recognized by Super Lawyers for the past several years as the youngest Super Lawyer in the NY Area in the personal injury field. He has also achieved Lead Council rating in Personal Injury law.

Mr. Segal currently lives in New York City. He enjoys being active – working out, playing basketball and other sports, traveling, and most importantly spending time with his family and friends.
