Richard J. Wright was the Editor-in-Chief of John Jay High School and New York City College of Technology Yearbooks. He was awarded the Humanities Department Award as the most outstanding student in the Liberal Art Department at New York City College of Technology.

He next received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Brooklyn College, magna cum laude, in Political Science. He was awarded the Political Science Departmental Award as the most outstanding student in that field. Throughout his college years, he was consistently named as a Dean’s List recipient. He earned his Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School. There, he was awarded the Prince Richardson Scholarship Award. He was also the recipient of two CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for being the highest scoring student in Civil Practice Workshop and Fundamental Legal Drafting.

Richard J. Wright was an illegal alien from Jamaica for a period of fifteen (15) years. He briefly stayed at a homeless shelter while attending law school.  Because of his immigration status, he was forced to withdraw from Law school.

He was finally able to return to law school eight (8) years later. He made a vow to God that if he were ever to become an attorney, he would offer free paralegal courses. Over three hundred (300) students have completed the paralegal programs to date.
