Bob is also a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, one of the premier legal associations in North America. Bob first became a practicing civil trial lawyer in 1976 after graduating from Yale University followed by Temple University School of Law. In addition to the practice of law, Bob has devoted much of his life to helping children at risk. For 30 years he has served on the board of directors of the Montgomery County affiliate of Boys and Girls Clubs of America. He also serves as a volunteer lawyer for children and is an officer of the Montgomery Child Advocate Program.
Professional Associations & Appointments
Bob currently serves as Chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Judicial Evaluation Commission. The Commission evaluates all candidates for the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, Superior Court, and Commonwealth Court. From 2007 to 2017, he served as a member of the House of Delegates of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. In 2008, Bob served as President of the Montgomery Bar Association.
Bob has also chaired the Montgomery Bar Association’s Alternative Dispute Resolution, Judiciary, Insurance, and Unauthorized Practice Committees. He has served as a hearing committee member for the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. For 40 years, he has been a member of the American Association for Justice and the Pennsylvania Association for Justice.
