Firm Summary
As managing attorney for Neff Injury Law, I am responsible for moving our cases forward efficiently to maximize client payouts. On any given day you will find me working with co-counsel to streamline litigation; coordinating research and motions practice; planning case strategy with our team and experts; arguing motions in court; editing appellate briefs; investigating a defendant; drafting an opening statement; or preparing our team for trial.
Along with the other members of the Neff legal team, I am committed to improving the lives of our clients following the significant pain and trauma they have experienced. Our clients tell us time and time again how working with us to pursue justice helped them to regain not only their financial footing, but also helped them heal and move forward emotionally. Feedback like that fuels the time, energy, and dedication I have given to each of our clients since joining Neff Injury Law in 2011.
Unlike many lawyers, I didn’t attend law school immediately following college. After receiving a bachelor of arts degree in English and philosophy from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, I earned a master’s degree in English with a focus in rhetoric.
I began my professional career teaching writing and rhetoric at Clemson University. A subsequent job as a private investigator led me to law school at Georgia State University College of Law. During law school, I interned for the late Justice P. Harris Hines of the Supreme Court of Georgia and the Honorable Alice D. Bonner of the Fulton County Business Court. I was invited in to the Bleckley Inn of Court, and I served as the Vice President of Appellate Advocacy for Georgia State’s Moot Court, where I advanced to the final four of the 1L oral argument competition. While in law school, I also worked in Georgia State’s Office of Legal Affairs and the Georgia State Law Library.
I am a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association (GTLA) and the American Association for Justice (AAJ). I am licensed to practice in Georgia state and superior courts, in the Georgia Court of Appeals, and in the Georgia Supreme Court.
My wife and I have three children. Life outside of work is full of soccer practices, piano lessons, school activities, and church. In my spare time, you’ll find me playing blues on my 1975 Fender Stratocaster or my 1947 Martin 0-17.
