Steve Sullivan is of counsel for Robert J. DeBry and Associates.  He has dedicated his career to being an advocate for the individuals he has represented over the years.  Steve has resolved hundreds of cases over his 30 years at the firm.

As the firm’s counsel, Steve has worked with legislators concerning legislation that affects Utahns’ rights when injured by others.  Steve presently serves on the Legislative Committee for the Utah Association of Justice.  During the legislative session, Steve can often be found in the Capitol supporting legislators’ work regarding Utahns’ rights.  Over the years, there have been many instances where Utah insurance companies push to pass legislation that benefits the insurance industry but would impact the rights of Utahns.  Steve has worked hard with many legislators to protect Utahn’s rights rather than insurance companies.

Steve has worked in many areas of personal injury such as commercial trucking, claims against drunk drivers, product liability cases, medical malpractice claims, and automobile accidents.  He gives personalized attention and advice to each client. He cares about helping all his clients through the process of a personal injury claim so that they can repair their lives and gain the compensation they deserve.

For over three decades, Steve has worked as a tireless advocate for his clients. He values high standards of personal and professional conduct and applies them in his career.

In the past, Steve has served as President of the Utah Association of Justice; presently, he serves as a Board Member of the same organization.  Steve is also a member of the American Association of Justice. In addition, Steve served as President and Board Member of the Utah Bar Foundation.

Steve served on several key Utah Bar Committees, including the Utah Access to Justice Counsel, the Fee Arbitration Committee, and the Utah State Bar Committee.

From his hard work, he has been recognized with the 2015 Client Choice Award, holding a “Superior” rating of 10.0, according to Avvo.com.  In addition, Steve has been given the AV rating by Martindale Hubbell, the highest rating assigned by that organization.  Steve has been listed as one of Utah’s Legal Elite by Salt Lake Magazine and a Super Lawyer by the Super Lawyer organization.

Steve recently was appointed to the Board of Advisors for Lawyers of Distinction.

Steve’s education included an Undergraduate Degree from Utah State University in Political Science.  He received his Law Degree at the University of Utah.
