Timothy P. Armstrong, Attorney at Law, is a native of Jacksonville and practices in Duval, Clay, Nassau, Baker, St. Johns, Flagler, Volusia, Alachua, Orange, Putnam, and Seminole Counties. Mr. Armstrong received his masters in business administration from The American University in Washington, D.C. in 1995, and was a dean’s list recipient while completing his M.B.A. Mr. Armstrong graduated from the University of Miami School of Law in 1999, with honors – cum laude. While in law school, Mr. Armstrong was also a member of and editor for the University of Miami Business Law Review.

Mr. Armstrong began his law career clerking for the local firm of Coker, Schickel, Sorenson & Posgay, P.A. in Jacksonville, Florida. Following this clerkship, Mr. Armstrong worked at the Office of the Public Defender as an Assistant Public Defender for many years. While at the Public Defender’s Office, Mr. Armstrong was assigned to numerous misdemeanor, juvenile and felony divisions where he defended hundreds of clients.

Mr. Armstrong has taken dozens of cases to both jury and bench trials. During his career, Mr. Armstrong gained extensive experience defending felonies and misdemeanors, including, but not limited to: drug possession, drug sales, grand theft, assault, battery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, attempted murder, credit card fraud, driving under the influence (“DUI”), boating under the influence (“BUI”), child abuse, criminal mischief, false imprisonment, domestic battery, and worthless checks – to name a few.

After leaving the Public Defender’s Office Mr. Armstrong was an insurance defense attorney for three of the nation’s largest insurance companies. During this time, Mr. Armstrong defended many complex insurance cases that often-involved serious bodily injury or wrongful death. This invaluable experience is now used to assist Plaintiff’s, versus defendants, who have been injured. He also cultivated this experience to help clients with family law matters such as divorce. Mr. Armstrong is an experienced attorney who prides himself on providing competent and prompt legal services. He also assures that clients are always given personal service and access to him for all of their needs and questions.

In 2004 Mr. Armstrong founded the law firm of Armstrong | Stripling, P.A. The firm tailored its practice to criminal defense, family law, and personal injury cases. This firm eventually grew into our present law firm, The Armstrong Law Group, P.A. Mr. Armstrong, and all members of the firm, use their collective experience to help clients every day.

Mr. Armstrong is married and is the proud father of two beautiful children. He enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, and helping clients.
