Firm Summary
At the time of writing this, Will has been married to his wife Angela for just over 22 years. They have three very active boys that are the joy of their life. Will was raised in a very poor home by his single mother who was very strong, principled and grounded in her faith in Jesus Christ.
“Although it may have taken longer than my mother would have liked, this Jesus my mother introduced me to I would eventually get to know on my own. Honestly, He changed my life and rescued me, but that is a conversation for another day.”
Will credits his humble upbringing and strong foundational guidance by his mother as what led him to become the man, attorney and business owner he is today.
Will graduated from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse in 2001 and Marquette University Law School in 2003. He received his admission to the State Bar of Wisconsin in 2004 and accepted a position at an insurance defense law firm in Milwaukee, WI. While working as an insurance defense attorney Will was exposed to the greed of the corporate insurance company and its lack of concern for the sufferings and misfortunes of others which ultimately led Will to the “other-side.” Representing the injured.
“It didn’t sit well with me. Don’t get me wrong, I learned a lot on that job. I learned how to be an effective and aggressive trial attorney. I also learned many things that the insurance company does not want you to know that are beneficial to my practice today as a personal injury attorney. What was disheartening was I learned quickly that the insurance company does not have the people’s best interests in mind. Its motivation is profit, and how does it make profit? Pay as little as it can on injury claims. That is what didn’t sit well with me. You legitimately have people whose live’s are destroyed due to an injury from someone else’s negligence and the insurance company is figuring out ways to not pay them. How are they going to pay their medical bills? How are they going to pay their rent? What happens when they can’t return to work? I was taught to fight for the people, not against the people.”
In 2006 Will opened Pemberton Law Offices, a law firm that would represent the people. Since that time, Will has secured many settlements and verdicts for his injured clients. As a result of his successes, he has earned the respect of his clients and his peers, as evidenced by his “Superb” rating from AVVO, and his Pre-eminent client-rating from Martindale-Hubbell. In addition, the National Trial Lawyers included him on its list of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers and Super Lawyers has selected him for 10 consecutive years to the top 5% of attorneys in the nation.
Will and his team at Pemberton Personal Injury Law Firm have a consistent record of successful settlements, awards and verdicts in injury and auto accident cases, including one of Wisconsin’s largest verdicts ever rendered by a jury in a personal injury case not involving broken bones.
Will is a compassionate attorney who fights for those who cannot fight for themselves. He thinks of his clients like family and wants to be able to look them in the eye when their case is done and know that he did a good job for them. Will prides himself on leading a compassionate, yet aggressive team that shares his passion and values.
In his spare time, Will enjoys being a husband and father of three fast growing boys. You will often find him on the lake, in the woods, or in the mountains with his wife, boys, and two boxer dogs, teaching his kids to love the Lord and the land as much as he does.
